We now intend to increase our long-term production capacity in the Nordic region and are planning to build a new highly automated production facility in Sweden. For this project we are looking for an experienced IT Manager Manufacturing.

IT Manager Manufacturing

Nobia has recently conducted a Group strategy review for the next few years based on high growth opportunities requiring increased production capacity and improved flexibility to drive profitable growth and further strengthen the Group's competitive power. The Nobia Board of Directors has made a directional decision to build a new highly automated production facility in Sweden. This will be Nobia's biggest investment to date and one of the most modern factories in Europe. The total investment in new production equipment is estimated at approximately 2 billion SEK during 2020 – 2023. The factory is expected to be in full operation by 2024.

As our IT Manager Manufacturing you will be instrumental in creating the required conditions from the ground up concerning IT structure and support for the new factory. You will be given delegated responsibility to build up the required support, systems and applications. Your main objective will be to implement the IT structure during the construction program and to build the IT platform and infrastructure to be taken over at the factory handover by the responsible IT Operations Manager. Your overall tasks during the construction program will be to:

• Maintain requirements and IT operations for the various needs with regard to applications, servers, laptops, desktops, software, hardware and other infrastructure such as networks, telephony etc.
• Run a local IT project, develop IT solutions and main responsibilities for IT delivery and future IT operations in the new factory.
• Manage critical IT tasks.
• Investigate and evaluate new technologies, hardware and software during the construction program and for future operation of the new factory, the project office and the office.
• Analyze and maintain hardware and software for the new factory and its office.

You will be part of the IT Region Nordic department and have a central role in the construction program of the new factory. You will also be part of the program’s management team and will be reporting to the Program Director. Location: Jönköping.

We are looking for…
… an IT professional with more than 5 years’ senior experience of IT management. You must have general experience and knowledge of manufacturing applications and operating systems as well as current equipment and technology, for example manufacturing, execution and control systems, and ERP systems, just to mention a few. Competence and experience of implementation, configuration and testing of solutions is a requirement.

Your educational background may include a bachelor’s degree or post-secondary college studies in technology and/or computer science. Further training in IT Management will be an additional merit.

To be successful in your role, you must be good at bringing people onboard. You are skilled at indirect leadership using responsiveness and pedagogical ability to be able to convince and define requirements while also being a team player.
